Welcome to our blog, we are a class of Year 6, 7 and 8 students, and our teachers are Mrs Hahn and Mrs Ealam. We are from Ahaura, on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.
We have been learning about our digestive systems after a visit from Harold. Today we were able to dissect some of the organs from a pigs digestive system. A pigs digestive system is very similar to a humans.
Kia Ora Room 6. I admire the fact that you all had the stomach to do this! I certainly don’t. How come Harold lets you do that kind of stuff? I don’t think we ever got to do something that exciting. Did you learn anything from it that really surprised you? Keira, Room 9a, Parkview School.
Kia ora Awahono school Room 6, I really like that you guys got to see what a pig’s insides look like, if I were there I’d stay as far away as possible. I wonder what they would look like up a bit closer? Maybe take a few more pictures so people can have a really good look. How did it smell? It must’ve smelt really bad and also how is a pig's digestive system similar to a humans? If you want you guys can come have a look at my blog and what I have done,https://leah1218.blogspot.co.nz/ Sincerely, Leah from Parkview school.
Hola Room 6, my name is Luke and I'm from Parkview school in Christchurch. Dissecting a pig must have been a mix of “disgusting, Eww and cool” and I bet it smelt pretty gross. I like how you said a pig’s organs are like our organs and displayed a picture showing what it looked like. What did it smell like? How long did it take to dissect the pig? What was it like to feel/hold? If you’d like to see my learning, my blog is http://lukeb15.blogspot.co.nz/
Hi room 6, I think that it is so cool that you were able to look into a pig's digestive system! Did you know what all of the parts were called? Did anyone faint because of the pig’s body parts? Also, how come you looked into a pig's digestive system and not any other animal? Maybe next time Harold comes to your school you could look into other animals’ digestive systems and compare them and see the similarities and differences. Cool blog post! If you’d like to check out our blog, here’s the link: http://parkviewseniorsquad.blogspot.co.nz/ :)
Hello Room Six, my name is Tessa from Parkview School room 9a in Christchurch. I never thought that a pigs digestive system would be kinda like ours. Where did you get the pigs digestive system from? Was it interesting? What did it feel like? If you would like to see my learning, my blog is https://pvstessat.blogspot.co.nz/ 😃
Salutations, I’m from Parkview School in room 8. My name is Lucas. I’m fascinated about your digestive system research. It made my stomach feel twisted because the way the guts looks. But next time, Have you researched how it reacts in different conditions? Was it soft and squishy, Or hard and rough? I enjoyed it a lot, Here’s a link to my blog, https://pvslucasl.blogspot.co.nz/.
Hello Room Six of Awahono school, I’m Cybella from Parkview School in Christchurch, I really liked your post on the pig's digestive system. I had no idea that their digestive system was similar to ours! I liked the picture that you put with it (But it’s kinda gross) Did you enjoy it? It made me think of our visit from Harold. Maybe next time put in why it’s like our digestive system? I really liked your post well done! Cybella 🐷😁
Kia Ora room six, I am Jorja from the Senior Squad at Parkview School. I am very amazed with what you did. Was the digestive system smelly or gross? How many of you learned about the digestive system? You guys taught me about what the pig digestive system looks like and that it looks like the humans. Have you think about putting anymore information or a video on what sort of stuff that was in the digestive system. If you would like to see my learning blog, my learning blog is https://pvsjorjaj.blogspot.co.nz/ Kind regards Jorja from the Senior Squad at Parkview school.

If you would like to check out my learning and school work my blog is https://ryan3017.blogspot.co.nz/
