For the book Posted I have made the medal that Frost won at the 13th Annual Branton School District Young Authors' Competition.

  1. We like the medal you have made, it is very creative. Specifically we like how the dots get smaller. You have also taken a really clear photo. We in Room 1 at New Brighton Catholic School are a little confused about what the book is (can you post a link?), who 'Frost' is and what the competition is. Can you tell us more?
Thank you so much for the post, we are looking at your individual blogs.

  2. Hi Mr Adams,
We are participating in 'Chapter Chat' which has a set book we read called 'Posted' and we are only allowed to read so much each week. During the week we complete activities and on Friday's we answer questions about the book on twitter. Frost is the main character, 'Frost' is his nickname from a famous poet, Robert Frost. In the book 'Frost' wins a poetry competition. -Reagan

  3. Kia ora Awahono School, Room six, I really like how much effort and hard work you have put into your own homemade medal. It looks amazing I really like how precise you were with the dots. The colour scheme with the yellow looks good with the contrast of the black accents. Hopefully I get to see some more amazing artwork.
Thanks Jaide from team 4 Parkview school.

  4. Kia ora Awahono School I´m from Parkview Primary, I like that you crafted a medal for the first place winner, congratulations. It made me think it would be a good idea for my school to have a young authors competition. Have you thought of a prize for first place like having it sent to a website made for the winners of the competition? I really like the way you made the medal. The detailed spots in it are cool and so is the number 1 in the very centre. Have you thought of putting more information about how she won the competition and how? Maybe next time you have a competition you could make more medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize. The medal you made looks really cool! I liker the shade of gold you used, as well as the big black 1. But if you ever make another one try make it bigger with a big more detail. I still like the design though, I hope you make more! If you want to check out my blog here is the link: https://pvslucasl.blogspot.com/
